Ramco Win contract to sell British Broadcasting Company (BBC) Equipment

Following on from ad hoc disposal works for the BBC, Ramco were awarded a contract covering the disposal of technical audio and video equipment and related goods in 2012.

To date this has entailed the marketing and sales of over 600 video cameras and associated peripherals as the BBC undertake the process of moving across to a totally high definition (HD) recording environment.

In order to maximise the value of the equipment, every item was professionally reviewed and tested, and refurbished where necessary to ensure the asset were sold at maximum prices.

This contract continues today, and Ramco are currently working on the pilot for the conversion of the BBC Local radio stations as they move toward virtual broadcasting and away from the traditional turntable and mixing desk environment.
